I think this would be a great idea; however, the Slackware distrobution
has always been an i386 distro and will probably remain that way for a
while. The only solution to this would probably to make a mirror
distrobution based on slackware but with all i686 packages. You might
want to check out Beehive Linux (http://www.beehive.nu) for a light and
fast i686 distro if you can't wait.
