gnome shell issue with firefox and thunderbird

hey guys. i thought i’d bring up a bug that i’ve already reported about on launchpad during the shakedown 
period of ubuntu 17.10 during development.

i get some very odd flickering/pixelation/box shadows that seem to only occur when i use firefox and 
thunderbird. i know a new version of firefox is coming out and i’m hoping it helps. 

i’ve submitted a total of, i think, 6 bugs during the testing and building phase and i was hoping that the 
issue would be corrected. it’s not. 

and i know for a fact that it’s not my hardware because i was using xubuntu 17.10 right before i installed 
ubuntu 17.10 and the graphical issue presented itself again. so, it’s got something to do with how ubuntu 
17.10 handles graphics, I believe.
