Gnome 3.24 & Snap Package

Good Time of Day to Everyone:

With the news of Gnome 3.24 I noticed that it and the applications are available via a snap package.
So, I installed 3.24 via Snap, and assumed that it would overwrite my existing Gnome Shell 3.22. It didn't.

Can anyone help me out, with running it? I Haven't a clue how Snaps work. Will have to do some reading,
but until then .... please help. ;)
