About removable media in gnome-shell

Hello, I wanted to ask if developers add a method to remove drive directly in the shell. Currently the only methods to remove media are "Nautilus" and "Disk" tool.

I should mention that in the case of Nautilus, seems to be a work in progress, because the external drives with USB connection appearing in "other locations" and only appears the "unmount option" from the context menu. See: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5204736/nautilus_remove_drive.png

For me the only option left is to use disks (unmount the drive and shut down) See: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5204736/disk_remove_drive.png Some time ago, I opened a report to respect, as in the case of external drives must be turned off before removing the device (the disk must be stopped as electricity) which is something that manufacturers recommend. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749761

I remember seeing long ago some mockups, proposed the administration of removable media in the system menu, but have not been implemented.

Would it be possible to remove disks from the new notification system or this feature will depends on nautilus?

Thanks
