about xdnd

Dear All
When drag an item in a XWindow, gnome-shell can not handle drop event. We do some hacking to connect the xdnd event to gnome-shell dnd, but there is a little problem, that is the drag item is below gnome-shell UI, so can anyone give us some advice?
