Hi folks, My name is Buyongo Phiri I am from South Africa and an I.T student, I would like to contribute to the Gnome Project with some ideas on behaviour that I think may be more natural for the shell users. I have attached some very rough mockups to better aid in telling the story. When a user clicks on the "activities" area on the top bar three tasks can be accomplished. -Manage apps in current workspace/manage workspaces -Start a new app -Access an app on the dock I think a more natural behaviour would be to separate workspace and the dock from the dash. The dock and workspace switcher should allow the user to invoke them separately without the need for an extra click. If I drag my mouse to the top and click activities, I might as well go through two more clicks to get to a specific application. I think the current behaviour of "activities" should change to a more appropriate "applications" which will land the user on a "app categories dashboard" with all the categories of installed software, with alternative views and allow the user to choose what their dashboard shows when invoked. (e.g Recently used apps and docs, frequently used apps and files, collapsed app view and so) B.T.W Creating a wiki on Gnome world is super hard Regards Buyongo
