RE: some suggestions (Dreaming Tripper)



Hi
I think the position of the clock is the one thing which GNOME has done very different from others.
Unfortunately resistance to that move is mounting as we are still in a conventional mindset looking at clocks on the top right or bottom right corners of the screen.

The clock position in this case is a very convenient one. top center. easy to shift your eyes to it from your work. Less neck movement thus more relaxed.
I think the same issue would be faced with the Mac-Like Global menu in ubuntu. It's nice to see gnome trying to carve a niche of its own rather than in the shadow of another UI.
Hope this helps usability rather than confuses it.
