identi.ca in Empathy/Telepathy? What CM are you using, or is it a Pidgin/haze thing?
also... you see empathy notifications? That shouldn't happen... you should
really only ever see the native shell telepathy client. Do the notifications have a text box at the end? What version of Empathy?

I could not find a corresponding bug, so I filed
Bug 648295 - Allow to disable notifications per user
