Re: Autohide Top Bar?

Obviously hiding the panel should be optional. I has been discussed many times, many users just want to have the option, if I have a small screen, I guess I should be capable of optimize my DE to my needs.

I dont like Unity, but it is using screen space with more efficiency than Gnome3, thats a fact. Just look our gnome-shell panel (or bar), what it does? It gives me a button-indicator to bring the Activities, it shows me the Time, an the obvious System tray-Notifications; well,  Do I need that things ALL the time in my screen? I dont think so...
