Global key bindings for extensions

Hello,
I would like to hook a behavior in my gnome-shell extension to a global keyboard shortcut.

Looking at the source, the API WindowManager.setKeybindingHandler seems to provide a way to override existing key bindings. But in my extension, I want to define a new keybinding say like: "toggle-pomodoro-timer". How can I do that?
