Support for high contrast themes, like in the current gnome2 desktop,
would be included in this bug [1], created by Dan Winship.

In the same way, on the accessibility hackfest, Joseph Scheuhammer
said that he is planning to add color inversion and other similar
features to the current gnome-shell magnification tool [2]

Thank you. The magnification tool is shaping up very well.

Personally, I benefit from the color filters but do not need magnification, so I hope this will be possible. The beauty of the color inversion is that regardless of what theme or content you are using, you are guaranteed the same legibility that you had without color inversion (because the relationship between the colors is the same - just inverted), and you are guaranteed 100% coverage of your display.

A high contrast theme will be limited by certain non-compliant or third party applications.

Best,
Jarlath
