I like your system monitor one as it seems good for the regular user.  I can't help but whine that I can't have my own system monitor back since I tend to have the memory/cpu/network monitors which have proven invaluable when something is wrong with the system since i see a sea of red because network traffic hit the roof or cpu is pegged.  I'm hoping to learn some _javascript_ and write one for myself.

Is there _javascript_ bindings for libgtop?

I am not a really a pro on Inkscape but I built a mockup for a system monitor applet here:

For now we can display many screens in the panel and see all in the same time.
I choose a menu in order to group all the indicators in one place, like for the power menu.
Tell me if I don't take the good way for this try.

And If you give me more instructions, I can work on other applet design on my free time.
