thanks for the answer.
However, that doesn't solve my problem, I'm still getting an error at  
the gnome session start (see the report on  
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=556029).

Did you install the radeonhd drivers ?
Did you do something special to have it working ?
On which distro are you ? (Ubuntu ? Fedora ? Gentoo ?)

Which version of xorg and opengl libs ?
