Re: gnome-shell-list Digest, Vol 16, Issue 20

Those are two interesting topics, I think the possibility to edit the 'recent documents' should get a priority. When using the computer with more than 1 person it could be incriminating. Maybe some way to make sure certain folders won't be monitored? Or an easy remove option...

Regarding applets, that would be a great addition indeed. If there is a way for the dev's to make an easy 'Add applet' option, and make the applets programmable in something like .js there will be allot of applets in no-time. Or there could be an integrated hardware monitoring capability that's really integrated into the panel, I think that would be more work but it should look quite nice.

P.S. I'm new to this whole mailing list experience, I hope my reaction is appropriate!

1. I have tried deleting/altering the .*recently-used* & .*recently-used.xbel
*files in the home directory (on Karmic 64-bit). Nothing changes, the files
get automatically re-generated.

2. I am unable to find the right gtk configuration file to edit the options
regarding recent-documents. Can someone point out the exact file ?

3. I have installed the Gnome Activity Journal to switch the usage from gtk
toolkit to Zeitgeist, but am not sure if this has changes things.

I have searched the mailing lists & have got the above hints from a few
threads. But the problem still remains. Can someone please point out the way
to manipulate the recent-documents content.

Thanks.

Hello list, I have been really enjoying the Gnome Shell experience & forgive
me if am asking too much in too little time, but is there a way to add apps
to the top panel ?

I am really missing the sensors-applet on my panel, as I frequently need to
diagnose the temperatures since I have been overclocking & running stress
tests on the CPU.

Thanks.
