Three of these options have already been in the codebase at one point. The third, Groups with Grid view, could easily be implemented. The job is already done.
I'm replying just because that's something I have been wanting to propose for a long time: keep the grid but separate items by category. Of course it's sometimes difficult or arbitrary to decide in which category an item should go, but still it is much better than just putting everything toghether :)
+1 if developers at least experiment with this possibility!
