Bug 592608 needs an update

Hey guys,

I was just working on my netbook and found that after updating some
software I was still getting some extra CPU usage.  Well stupid me
forgot to change on_tree_changed to a gboolean that returned false so
our timed loop was in a continuous loop.  I pasted in a quick patch to
this bug.

Sorry I couldn't do it cleaner but I am running out.  Can someone take
a look at this, it is a pretty nasty bug.
