Greetings!!
I've not seen any information lately as to running the Shell as a session--not just as starting it within your current session...anyone doing this & thoughts as to setting this up? I have been running the Shell as per the Gnome Live page & am having performance issues (slow response in window dragging & redraw) with very current hardware...Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P/i7-920 with 6G of DDR3-2000 & Dual nVidia 9800GT cards---any testing/logging that I can do to pinpoint the slowdown?
I know that there has been talk of late to do wider testing---is there any information about this? I'm in the Lucid Lynx testing forum @ ubuntuforums--there are several people who would be interested in testing---the thread is located at:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1305154 If nothing else--it would make interesting reading.....
