The car could be the whole GNOME Shell, the stations the applications. If you're driving a quick flick of the dial/push of button and you can easy change applications In GNOME Shell you have to use the overlay, which zooms you out, rearrages windows into smaller thumbnails (arguably distracting the eye) so you can click/drag and app and have everything reshuffle again. It's as if you are driving and the controls for the radio are outside, you have to get out, change the station then reorient yourself. > Date: Mon, 14 Dec 2009 01:07:09 -0500 > Subject: Re: Interface Changes > From: william jon mccann gmail com > To: merkinman hotmail com > CC: gnome-shell-list gnome org > > Hi Mark, > > On Sun, Dec 13, 2009 at 11:43 PM, Mark Curtis <merkinman hotmail com> wrote: > > Well I can say I agree with Gabriel and I've personally made the analogy > > that others have agreed with: > > "It's feels like getting out of your car to change the radio station" > > Apart from the fact that you agree could you provide some more > information about why?
