File Handling

Hi!

Recent discussion about Nautilus got me thinking once again. I see a
number of fundamental problems with file handling. As some of them go
pretty deep, I think it would be great to have a long term plan in place
to get there eventually. Steps for Gnome 3 might then go in the right
direction, at least :)
