a good applet porting guide or reference doc for the new API?
Gnome 1.x based apps can still run fine under RH8/Gnome2. In fact,
evolution, gnumeric, gnucash and xchat are all Gnome 1.x based. As for
reference for porting apps, check out http://developer.gnome.org.
I'm talking about (panel) _applets_, not apps. There is no backward
compatibility for those, and no documentation on
http://developer.gnome.org that helps me with the porting, as far as I can
tell ;-(
