Last time I would have needed it was when copying a partition to 
usb-drive and left the computer at work running. I had to 
openvpn-connect the computer through the firewall to my home to 
shutdown/standby it when finished for not running the whole night.
The time before was when downloading from slow server taking longer than 
1 hour.
