[gpm] g.p.m 2.28 - dpms D-Bus interface?

Hello all,

I am trying to find a way to manually control my screens dpms state.

I used to use the "xset dpms force standby" command however that now
leads to only a temporary suspend with my display being re-enabled
after a minute or so. I believe it is gnome-power-manager that is
responsible for this as terminating that process and then issuing xset
gives the desired result.

Basically I am looking for the correct way to issue a dpms suspend
command (I presume over dbus) but can't find the correct dbus
interface.

Does g.p.m provide a dbus interface to control the dpms state? If it
was moved to another package does anyone know which one?

Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic with Gnome 2.28

Thanks,
Chris
