Hello,
I want to force my screen to go in sleep mode.
(because the off button is broken).
I used to do:
xset dpms force off
but due to a change in gnome-power-manager (I use 2.28.1) , I guess,
this does not work anymore:
the screen goes off effectively, but comes back after few seconds.
I looked in the powermanager code, and it seems that there is a timer
that re-sets the power mode.
i.e. power manager keep the control.
fine, I accept that.
So, my question is now: how to communicate to power manager to force
screen standby mode ?
Some documentation of power manager mention a dbus interface to do that.
But it seems not to be implemented.
Any plan, hints, etc... to get into force screen off mode ?
Laurent
