Please ignore my previous post.

The problem was not with syncing. I had a computer lockup yesterday
while Evolution was running. Some settings must have been changed, the
"personal calendar" was unchecked, so...

Gnome-Pilot was doing its job perfectly -- I just could not see it!

My apology about the noise...
