Hi All, I'm trying desparately to have my handheld sync with Evolution. The handheld is a Treo 90. I've been able to successfully get the thing to sync/talk with pilot-xfer (pilot-link) and jPilot. So I know it *can* be done. :) Here' what I've done so far: I've created the setting for gpilotd with the Gnome "Palm OS Devices" control panel applet. I've verivied the gpilotd is starting, I've watched as a sync tries to happen at a terminal... ------------------------------------------------------------------- gpilotd-Message: gnome-pilot 2.0.10 starting... gpilotd-Message: compiled for pilot-link version 0.11.8 gpilotd-Message: compiled with [VFS] [USB] [IrDA] [Network] gpilotd-Message: Activating CORBA server gpilotd-Message: bonobo_activation_active_server_register = 0 gpilotd-Message: Watching Cable (/dev/pilot) gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=57600 (gpilotd:12429): gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: Connection timed out (gpilotd:12429): gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: timeout was 2 secs gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=57600 (gpilotd:12429): gpilotd-WARNING **: Unable to bind to pilot gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=57600 (gpilotd:12429): gpilotd-WARNING **: Unable to bind to pilot gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=57600 <snip, you get the idea> ------------------------------------------------------------------- I've "tweaked" various things with speed, etc. Created a symlink from "/dev/usb/tts/1" to "/dev/pilot", made sure that both of those are chmod 666 so everyone can use them. (this is what actually allowed jPilot to begin working. :) ) I've insmod'ed "visor" with the following: "insmod visor debug=1" and trolled my log file, getting this: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sep 27 11:53:48 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - port 1 Sep 27 11:53:48 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - failed submitting read urb, error -22 Sep 27 11:53:50 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - port 1 Sep 27 11:53:50 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - failed submitting read urb, error -22 Sep 27 11:53:52 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - port 1 Sep 27 11:53:52 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - failed submitting read urb, error -22 Sep 27 11:53:54 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - port 1 Sep 27 11:53:54 enterprise visor.c: visor_open - failed submitting read urb, error -22 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Then I've tried googling for things that may help...nothing has worked so far. So I'm hoping someone here can make my life a little easier and tell me that I'm wasting my time with this Treo and where I might go to get it working... Anyone have a clue as to what my problem might be? -- Kevin L.
