Re: gnome-pilot-list digest, Vol 1 #426 - 1 msg

Paul,
I've since found a solution to my problem ... by researching the
archives of the Gnome User Board.
What I found was that there should be an applet in the Gnome Control
Center to launch the conduit setup - but there isn't.
(obviously this is what you're looking at as well)
But ... there is still a way to do this from the command line - or an
Xterm.
run the following - as User:
"gpilotd-control-applet --cap-id=1"

this will bring up a conduit setup box in which you can select the
conduits you'd like to enable. Yes, it's not perfect ... no memo
conduit, for example ... but for my requirements, it's just what I need.
(I use my Palm for work and keep all my important data on the PC there
... my only reason for synching at home is to keep my address list
current.)
for more info ...
see Gnome User Board Forum Index - General Gnome Applications ...
Post entitled "Pilot Conduits in Gnome2 - RedHat 8" ...
the first response - on Fri Oct 4, 2002 ... from the moderator,
'gerogeal' is the one you want.
... you might want to use the search feature to locate it quicker.

your solution looks like the 'right' way to go, but I've got what I need
just by
thanks
