I've met the same problem. I would like to share some of my experience 
with you:

I have checked some website and find that the configuration of the 
conduits should
be done in the gnome control center plus. The latest version of the 
gnomecc-plus you
can find is control-center-plus-1.5.8-ximian.1.i386.rpm, which 
unfortunately is for
redhat 7.2. I tried to install it on redhat 8.0, and failed due to the 
lack of
libconfig-archiver.so.0. This library is provided in the package 
control-center-1.5.12.ximian.2.i386.rpm,
which, due to a pre-installed newer version of control-center plus in 
the redhat 8.0, will not go for redhat 8.0, .

I am still trying to find way out to install gnomecc-plus to configure 
the conduits and make
all the conduits available to the gpilot. I will mail them out if I've 
got any.
