Gnomecal syncing

ok, need help in the worse way. was running redhat 7.2 and having all kinds of problems getting gpilot to work. starting to upgrade packages and about 40 minutes into it i realized that going to 8.0 would be faster. upgraded and still no joy. went back and removed all ximian pages and now i am getting closer but, when i run conduits i do not see how to sync my datebook to gnomecal. i looked at pilot-datebook but, as far as i can tell it will only pull the datebook into an ical format not a vcal format. have read lots of faqs, and this list and can not find the answer.
this is what i am running if it helps.
gnome-pilot-conduits-0.10-1.dsc.1
gnome-pilot-0.1.65-8
pilot-link095-compat-0.9.5-20
i need the idiots guide.
