Sorry for the shouting, I was a bit frustrated. From your responses,
though, it sounds like it _should_ work, which is a little heartening -
at least I'm not wasting time on something everyone else knows doesn't
work.

I'm going to assume that by "in the configuration" you mean the runtime
configuration, not some option to ./configure that I missed.

In gnomecc, under the "Pilot Link" section, in the "Devices" tab, it is
set to Name=Cradle; Port=/dev/pilot; Speed=115200; Type="Handspring
USB". /dev/pilot is a symlink to /dev/ttyUSB1.

After I press the hotsync button, /proc/bus/usb/devices looks like:

T: Bus=01 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 2
B: Alloc= 0/900 us ( 0%), #Int= 0, #Iso= 0
D: Ver= 1.00 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=0000 ProdID=0000 Rev= 0.00
S: Product=USB UHCI Root Hub
S: SerialNumber=bce0
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=40 MxPwr= 0mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub
E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 8 Ivl=255ms
T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 3 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 1.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=16 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=082d ProdID=0100 Rev= 1.00
S: Manufacturer=Handspring Inc
S: Product=Handspring Treo
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=c0 MxPwr= 2mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 4 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=serial
E: Ad=81(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 16 Ivl= 10ms
E: Ad=01(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 16 Ivl= 0ms
E: Ad=82(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl= 0ms
E: Ad=02(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl= 0ms

Again, for what it's worth, pilot-xfer works, so I know the basic stuff
is set up correctly. If you think my configuration should work and
doesn't based on what I've told you here, I can start trying to hack on
it to figure out what's going on. I just didn't want to waste my time
if everyone already knows 0.1.65 doesn't work with pilot-link 0.11.1.

Thanks for the response...

Brett
