I tend to be pedantic, but if you already overwrote an existing
install in /usr, that's probably fine (I have 0.11.6 in /usr/local for
testing, YMMV)

After finding the 0.1.65 SRPM and the patch they used to lobotomize
it around the missing applet-widget.h, and rebuilding 0.1.70, I can verify
this problem. Adding quotes here also solved it for me. jpr and I have
actually been trying to nail this one for awhile, and when people ask how to
fix it on irc, I give them a perl one-liner that does it in one swoop. Good
to see that the missing quotes were the culpret here.

What doesn't it like about it? RH8 SHIPS WITH 0.1.65, built and
installed. Look closely at the two patches in the SRPM and you'll see how
they get around the g1 vs. g2 incompatibilities. I just successfully built
0.1.70 here on RH8 4 times, against 0.11.5, 0.11.6 twice, and cvs.
