WooHoo, it works! Thanks for your help, JP.

I can now successfully use the backup and file install conduits, and I 
got the latest gnome-pilot-conduits and got the MAL conduit working great.

Now for the real fun. :-) What I really want to do is to get the Evolution
conduits working; getting the CVS gnome-pilot running was just a prereq.
So, I got CVS evolution, compiled with the pilot conduit flags, and
installed. Went to control centre, and enabled one of the conduits.
(Calendar, but I tried Address as well).

When I sync, it crashes. Here's what I got out of gdb:

I didn't see anything in gnome_pilot_conduit_sync_abs_new that would
cause a problem, did the problem occur in another thread?

Sorry I don't have more useful output, how do I enable the debugging
symbols?? I get the same result with the Address conduit.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
