breaking memo-conduit

cvs updated, made install and proceded to break memo-conduit :)
i placed a file called "foobar" consisting only of the line

entry=3DWell, this is a placeholder for a link to <a href=3D"http:=2F=2Fchbm.nu=2Fdiary.html">my diary at my homepage<=2Fa>. <br>If I actually do anything worth noticing i'll post it here. For the usuall rambling and mishapps go to chbm.nu.

after a couple of syncs it was on the pilot and foobar was gone and that file
took it's place. then i made a small change on the pilot to

(added a couple of spaces in mishapp) and synched. that file appeared in the 
directory and the original one didn't disapear. ids contains
164550:0:951521066;/home/chbm/pilotMemos/Unfiled/entry=3DWell, this is a placeholder for a link to <a href=3D"http:=2F=2Fchbm.164548:0:951521066;/home/chbm/pilotMemos/Unfiled/entry=3DWell, this is a placeholder for a link to <a href=3D"http:=2F=2Fchbm.

notice how the file names are trucated *before* the change and there is no new
line at the end of the original entry.

i'm going to scavenge this in the code now :)
