I made the remark about gnome-pim in the context of a general whine
about GNOME in general. I have a working gnome-pilot and gnome-pim,
and I'm not touching it!
However, I'd *like* to be able to build the current development GNOME,
to see what it provides, and perhaps to provide feedback.
I'm reluctant to try, since GNOME CVS has a hundred or more modules I
could check out (most of which are irrelevant to gnome-core, say), so
it seems likely that it'll take some trial and error to get even the
base stuff (gnome-core, which I use all the time) to build. I could
be wrong, however: probably things haven't changed *that* much since
October GNOME, and probably the extra bits aren't hard to guess (I'll
probably need GOB, gdk-pixmap).
On the other hand, I'm just looking at
<URL:http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/rview.cgi?cvsroot=/cvs/gnome>, and
there's *lots* counting just those starting with "lib"---probably I'm
going to need some of those, but which? Given a V.90 modem, and
paying by the minute, I'm likely to wait until after it's released
rather than experimenting now.
