I'll probably regret saying this, but I think Dia really should be
looking to leverage Inkscape. The Dia canvas has always been buggy and
in general a bit awkward whenever I've tried to use Dia. Given the
progress being made with Inkscape, it would be a very solid 'backend'
for Dia (which is essentially just adding rules to shape manipulation
and the conversions to-from .dia files). Am I way off of reality here?
(To come back to a previous point when we talk about GO technologies,
Inkscape has the potential to be a key GO technology itself!)
