Hi Eric,
thanks for asking for our comments on your call of interest!
Before reading further I would like to express two (imho) important
questions that you surely could answer easily:
a) Who is "we" ?
What company/organisation are you working in?
Is "Document Conversion Systems" a company?
b) What is "an Open Source Software project environment" ?
Will all sources resulting from this project be under the
GNU General Public License ?
Since "Document Conversion Systems" might be a company this
question should be answered very clear if you want to attract
some Free Software developers.
Please don't get me wrong: I am not trying to critizise - just wanted
to express something I thing is important for the project in general.
Cheers,
Karl-Heinz
PS: Please not that saying "Open Source" does not mean very much: this
is a very woolly term so - if you don't mind - please think about
saying "Free Software" instead.
Of course this only applies IF you WANT to make Free Software. ;-)
