I'm still working on gnome-sound-recorder, so this week I've implemented the source chooser and thanks to the initial help from Yuvi Panda the build now works correctly :-)

So if you want to test:
  git clone git://gitorious.org/gnome-sound-recorder/gnome-sound-recorder.git
  cd gnome-sound-recorder
  ./autogen.sh
  make
  (make install)
  if you installed it, just use the launcher "Sound Recorder", if not execute ./src/grecord

I've tested it under Fedora 15 and Ubuntu 11.10, so it should work okay for you.
