Installed gnome-common from CVS ..... done
Setup ACLOCAL_FLAGS appropriately 

Current cvs appears to be missing src/grecord/gnome-recorder.h (so I
copied the copy in from gnome-media-2.10.1 .... appeared to work fine)

Now the build falls over trying to

That is pretty weird a Makefile rule to make png files my system
doesnt have ImageMagik installed ....... is this file missing also?

Copied the files across from gnome-media-2.10.1 continues further .....
