Problem in playing CD

Hi all folks,

Debian (unstable)
GNOME 2.4

I have been playing around Grip on GNOME desktop but could not play CD.  
Hereinbelow is my test detail.

1) Grip can be started
2) CDRom=cdrom0  CDWriter=cdrom1
Both can be mounted to read data CD.  CD burning is possible.

# locate cdrom0
/cdrom/cdrom0
/cdrom0
/dev/cdrom0
/home/satimis/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments/cdrom0.desktop
/mnt/cdrom0
# locate cdrom1
/cdrom1
/dev/cdrom1
/mnt/cdrom1

3) Grip -> CDConfig -> CD
On CDRom Device box
tried
/dev/cdrom0
/dev/cdrom1
/cdrom0
/cdrom1
non of thme can work

4) Status showing 'Grip started successfully'

5) Help - clicking each bar without response.

Kindly help.
