The main problem isn't the "delivery". I have never broken the GStreamer
backend on purpose, but the truth is that gst 0.6 was just very bad for
video playback (and that includes not crashing when you don't know how
to play a file, and decent error messages), and that the GstVideoWidget
wasn't updated for 0.7 yet.
