In the license, the licensor, should include a statement that the sounds are indeed his/hers and make a full representation to the originality of the audio.

Verance Corporation is a great source. The audio is encoded into the actual wave form and does not get lost when transferred to analog or back. I use this software and it has worked well. Also, the SDMI has endorsed this software.

Great site...I would have a intellectual property lawyer look at this contract just to be sure.

I agree also. Nobody sues unless they are famous or have money. Gnome would be a target.

How about catagories like:
Soundscapes: This would be textures with tempo or movement.
Pads or Atmospheres: This would be textures without tempo or movement.
Effects: Short noises, for example, hits.
Animated: Cartoon type and game related sounds.
Misc.: All the crazy stuff ...
