Hello, I decided to fix up Glade a little: improve it's performance,
add CSS styling (already half-implemented) and ability to add
non-toplevel widgets to toplevel with more user-friendly way (just
click in an empty space, already half-implemented). I think should I
redesign Glade using new approach to application design published by
GNOME designers? It looks like all the apps GNOME designers designed
were viewers. Do you think it's possible to use these approaches for
an editor?
Well, my problems are:
1. Where to put undo and redo, new, open, save, save as?
2. Where to put resize/margin/etc. tools?
3. Where to put cut/copy/paste?
4. Where to put preview?
5. How to switch between projects? Should I use Epiphany approach or
GNOME Builder's?
Any ideas/mockups welcome.
