Failing that, do you need help writing one?
You want jhbuild, see:
http://live.gnome.org/GnomeLove
http://live.gnome.org/JhbuildDependencies
http://live.gnome.org/JhbuildOnUbuntu
http://www.gnome.org/~jamesh/jhbuild.html#getting-started
http://www.gnome.org/~newren/tutorials/developing-with-gnome/html/ch04.html
http://live.gnome.org/JhbuildIssues
it can build an entire GNOME from CVS (probably overkill, but you'll
learn a lot).
Also worth noting that if building from CVS is too painful for you,
you can also try just building from tarballs with JHBuild (see
http://blogs.gnome.org/view/newren/2005/10/04/0); doing that might be
a good first step towards compiling from CVS. You'd probably want to
stick with the 2.12.1 moduleset for now, though a preliminary copy of
the moduleset for the gnome-2.13.1 release will be made available in
about 2-3 hours or so for the adventurous.
Cheers,
Elijah
