By mistake I copied _set_default_icon_name in the mail, the subject was OK.

I'm absolutely 100% positive it works (using gtk+ 2.6.7)
It doesn't on Debian unstable with gtk+ 2.6.8 and also not gtk+ 2.7 I
built from CVS a couple of days ago
Solved my problem by using an icon from the gnome theme :-)
