Another great place to start out is joining in on bug-day - every
thursday, Luis Villa the gnome bugmaster hosts a gnome bug-day where
we all get together on irc and try to make bugzilla.gnome.org a safe
place for lonly programmers looking for just one more easy bug...
Although, to be fair, bug-day's are hardly at a convenient time for
people on the east coast of Australia (which is not a criticism at all
-- you have to hold them at some time -- but it does mean it's not
always an option for everybody). They run from 2300 Thursday until 1100
Friday (or 0000 until 1200 Friday after tomorrow), which requires some
juggling to fit in with work and school commitments.
