[gnome-love] how do save an image?

hi again,
  new problem with my paint app. I'm
storing the image as a GdkPixbuf. When it
comes to saving the image what do I do?

gdk-pixbuf doesn't seem to have any file-save
capabilities, I'm using the latest version (0.13).

The plan at one time was to remove Imlib from the
GNOME platform, so what saves images?

Am I stupid to use a GdkPixbuf?
should it be a GdkRGB?

any responses appreciated... thanks.
