Hi,
instead of using session preferences you might add the apps somewhere
into runlevel settings. I think there is a GUI application to edit
these in your distro. Then you should append the apps somewhere at the
end, that is, to higher runlevel numbers. This isn't the best way how
to start them, but it should work. I highly recommend googling a bit
before editing runlevels, although if you don't delete anything and
don't add stupid things at stupid places, nothing should go wrong.
Also, these settings (unlike session preferences) are system-wide.
Eventually, you might create a script launching the apps and see if
adding it to the session preferences will start them.
