Actually, I'll have to correct myself on that one. 10.4 *is* supposed to 
be supported, but there is no binary installer yet - which is why I 
decided to use darwinports (http://www.darwinports.org/)

Seems like there is a lot of duplicate work going on related to 
opensource on OS X/Darwin ;-(
