evolution + i18n problem

hi,

by default evolution displays time in the 12hour-format.... that means
for example 3:30PM .. i want 15:30.... how to change it in evolution?

then i thought maybe i have to change something in my locale? what?

the next thing:

in kde3 i can adjust the monetary settings, the time/date display
settings etc. in the kde-control-panel..

but i use gnome2... and haven't found anything like that in
gnome-control-center... so is there a way to adjust it for gnome2?
