Hi,

Sorry i thought it was using gdm.

The right way to change from kdm to gdm is to create a file
/etc/sysconfig/desktop with this content: 

  #!/bin/sh 
  export DISPLAYMANAGER="Gnome"

That fixed it, but why did the updates brake kdm!
