Desk Guide duplication

I can not seem to figure this one out. RH7.2 and RH6.2 systems running
Ximian Gnome with Sawfish wm.
When I click on the window button in the title bar and select "Send window
to" / "Next workspace" I get a new Desk Guide Applet next to the old one.
Been trying to figure out using both the window manager geometry and the
Desk Guide geometry parameters. Any ideas?
